Admission Procedure
Discipline & Eligibility Criteria
As per the guidelines of State Government candidates seeking admission should have qualified Orissa JEE or AIEEE rank conducted by CBSE, New Delhi or any other entrance test prescribed by Govt. of Orissa.
Admission to 1st year Degree Course in Engineering/Technology
Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE or equivalent, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects : Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology. Should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
Admission to 2nd Year Degree Course in Engineering/Technology ( LATERAL ENTRY )
Additional 20% of each stream in B. Tech course is reserved for students passing out 10 + 3 and diploma course in respective branches.
Admission to M.C.A. Course
Pass or appearing for the Bachelor’s Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from any University of Orissa or equivalent recognised by UGC and having passed in Mathematics at 10+2 level. Business mathematics at +2 level are not permitted. Should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) at the qualifying examination. There is no age limit to admission to MCA course.
Admission to M.B.A. Course
: Pass or appearing for the Bachelor’s Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from any University of Orissa or equivalent recognised by UGC. Should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) at the qualifying examination. There is no age limit to admission to MBA course.
Admission to 1st year Master Degree Course in Engineering/Technology ( M.Tech )
GATE qualified and Non-GATE candidates with Bachelors degree or equivalent in the relevant field with atleast 50% marks or 5.75 CGPA (45% marks or 5.25 CGPA for SC and ST Candidates) in the respective engineering branches or in MCA/M.Sc. Computer Science (for M.Tech in Computer Science /IT branch only) /M. Sc. Electronics (for M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering only) with atleast 50% marks or 5.75 CGPA(45% marks or 5.25 CGPA for SC and ST Candidates).
